The Batavia Triathlon is a very nice early summer local triathlon. It is approachable for the first timer with a swim course set in the city's recreational swimming quarry and a reasonably flat and fast bike/run course for the seasoned triathlete to really fly. A perfect weather day for an event put smiles on everyone's face from start to finish.
It was a special day for ET athletes Jeff P and Jesse M who completed their first triathlons. Congrats guys!!!
Coach Greg and ET athlete Pat C also had great races. It was fun to see Bella and Nathan cheering their dad Greg to the finish line again. I'll always remember the visual of them running across the finish line with dad at the Ironman. What a Kodak moment that was! As a side note Bella had a great race and PR at the Delnor Kids Triathlon on Memorial Day. Go Bella!!
Also seen enjoying the triathlon experience were our training buddies Maureen, Melissa, Mike, Tony, Colleen, Lisa and Ben. You guys all looked strong out there!
